The reason is that the Pterosaurs are different from birds when they take off from the ground. Birds only use two limbs, however Pterosaurs use four limbs to help them push off from the ground. And they can also run fast enough or jump high enough to launch themselves with the help of four limbs.
To sum up, the reasons proposed by the reading are not satisfactory and comprehensive enough to draw the conclusion.
