In the reading passage, the writer introduces a kind of ancient animal called Pterosaur, and in the writer’s opinion, this animal was incapable to fly for three reasons. However, the professor argues that the pterosaurs could fly with three pieces of evidence.

For the first, the viewpoint that the pterosaurs were the cold-blood animal of the reading passage is against by the professor in the lecture. The professor mentions that the fossils of pterosaurs can find some construction like dense, hair-like stuff, which might be the fur of the pterosaurs to protect themselves and to store the heat when the weather was cold. This evidence means that the pterosaurs were a warm-blood animal, and also had enough energy to fly.

And second, the passage says that the pterosaurs were so big and too heaved to fly, but the professor has a different idea. The pterosaurs had features that made them light for their size. For example, the bones of pterosaurs were hollow, which can make their weight lighter than they seemed to be. Thus, the size is not a piece of evidence to prove that pterosaurs were so heaved to fly.

Finally, the reading passage states that the back legs muscles of pterosaurs were too small and weak, which could not help them to run fast or jump high to leave the ground. However, the professor mentions that the pterosaurs weren’t like birds; they have four legs to help them take off from the ground, and these legs were powered enough for them to run fast or jump high to fly up.
