Firstly, the passage claim that working in teams as individuals can pool their intellectual resources in order to arrive at decision. Moreover, group discussion leads to a more varied and in-depth approach to problem-solving and idea creation. Notwithstanding, lecture argues that the decisions that are made considering the opinion of each individual can be very irrational the outcome may be unsatisfactory. she makes her point strong by giving an example, objections raised by the research team are being ignored by management.

Secondly, the passage argues that group discussion leads to a broad exchange of knowledge and information since group includes individuals from different parts and level of organization .in addition, the responsibility is spread around so that no particular member is responsible to a failure. However, lecture contradict by saying in team group members often starts believing that they are invulnerable.for example, agents fail to catch an escaped prisoner because they assume they could not be outsmarted by one person.

Finally, the passage says that froup discussion encourages motivation in a team member, on the other hand, it also has a lot of disadvantage.
