Human life on Venus

Essay topics:

Human life on Venus

The reading and the lecture are both about the human life on Venus. the author of the reading feels that the life of a human on Venus can not be found on Venus. The lecturer challenges the claims made by the author. He is of opinion that human life on Venus can be challenging but it is possible.
First, the author argues that pressure at Venus is 90 times that on earth. The article mentions that there is a lot of pressure on Venus that each spacecraft will be crushed if it will land on the planet's surface even human will be crushed. This specific argument is challenged by the lecturer. He claims that we can use flooding spacecraft like a balloon. Additionally, he says that this flooding ballon will be instead of landing on surface spacecraft and will flood 50 kilometers above-surface so at this height the pressure will be the same as pressure on earth.
Secondly, the writer suggests that there is no water, and Oxygen at Venus. In the article, it is said that Venus's surface has carbon dioxide, sulfuric acid, and nitrogen and it will be difficult to bring water and Oxygen supply from the earth. The lecturer, however, rebuts this by mentioning that we can use the chemicals on Venus's surface to produce water and Oxygen. He elaborates on this by bringing up the point that by using carbon dioxide, and sulfuric acid to make water, and Oxygen so we will not need to import them.
Finally, the author posits that little amount of sunlight that will be available at Venus's surface. Moreover, the article stated that sixty percent of sunlight will be reflected in space by thick clouds and 40 percent of sunlight can pass through sunlight but due to presence of carbon dioxide will prevent more sunlight from reaching Venus's surface. In contrast, the lecturer's position is that the clouds above a certain height will not be thick. He notes that these not thick clouds will pass sunlight and the reflected ones from the thick cloud can run stations.
In conclusion, the lecturer's opinion opposes the author's opinion.
