Essay topics:

Learning about the past has no value for those of us living in the present.

Some people may insist that studying about the past is not useful and it is better to focus on the present. But in my opinion, learning about the human's histrory is helpful in many ways. I completely disagree the statement that learning about the past has no value for people who live in the nowadays.
First of all, present is the consequences of what human have been passing. All of the knowledges, constructions and cultures that we use are developed in the past. So, without knowing about the past, it is also hard to understand the present. For example, when I want to write a thesis, it is always based on the published papers which relate about topic of my research. I need to find out relative study because sometimes the topic of mine are already presented or I can get some useful information about my thesis' topic. The past things are always helpful.
Secondly, we can avoid possible danger from the past experience. For example, wars are always making awful results. To be specific, nuclear bomb can make terrible results which everyone are not expected. Nowadays, every people know about the possible results of the awful weapon due to experience that destroyed two whole cities in Japan. After that, all of people in this planet don't want to see the bomb is operated again. From the past experience, people can anticipate the possible results and make a clever decision.
To sum up, we should learn the past's wisdoms in order to live more wise. Everything we have is the results of the past and that is why we have to learn about it. Furthermore, if we learn about the past, our decision making will be more wisely.
