migration of Anasazi
The lecture and the reading passage both discuss about migration of Anasazi. In the lecture, however, the professor casts doubt on the reason of relocate of Anasazi was drought, which are described in the reading.
First of all, the lecturer argues that evidence from bones doesn't mean anything because it is common to eat insufficient food for Anasazi people. While the reading indicate that one of main reason for migration was can't get enough crops dew to arid condition of climate. To be more particular, according to lecture, it is easy to find bones of children which couldn't get enough nutritions.
Furthermore, in constrast to the claim in the reading passage that they blocked all the gate of their villages in order to come back after drought condition, the professor insists that there is no reason to they moved back to their origin places. If they so, at least, some people would back to the place but they did not.
Finally, according to the reading passage, most of Anasazi seemed to want make new village near the reilable water sources. However, the lecturer maintains that, not all the Anasazi settled near the place near river or resovoir. To be specific, some of Anasazi made their new home on the arid areas such as Arizona.
