readers has changed

Essay topics:

readers has changed

The text is about decrease in the number of people who read literature books and explains how it has happened and what are its consequences by providing three reasons. The professor opposes these reasons and goes against all of them and explains why these change has happened.

Firstly, the text claims that intellectual stimulation can be found only in literature books and these books can provide so many benefits for us and this is while other books cannot have this effect. The professor refutes this claim and says that, reading is not just about literature books and other topic like science, history and politics are also some fields which can be really precious and helpful. She also states that these fields can be as creative as literature and they can provide intellectual stimulation as much as literature can.

Secondly, the text explains that some self-helping books or television programs which people are more interested to them, rather than literature books, has nothing to do with the increase of the culture in societies and also new books are poorly writing and does not worth reading. However, the professor opposes this point and says that we cannot cast any doubt on this point that nowadays people are spending less time on reading books and prefer to watch movies instead, but movies and musics can help to increase culture of societies too. She states that culture has changed and nowadays movies and musics can speak more directly about culture than books.

Thirdly, the text says that there are so many good writers these days but based on the lack of readers, publishers prefer invest less on books and it leads to decrease of writer's number too. The professor opposes this point and says that we all know that these days’ authors get less support, but it is not just because people read less. She states that this problem is due to author's fault and as long as their writings are too difficult to be understood, they will not get enough support and cannot gain new readers.
