Summarise the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they case doubt on specific points made in the reading passage
The reading and the lecture offer two opposing views on problems that archaeologists are confronted in Britain. Whereas the author of the reading claims that the arcaeologists have many difficulties in Britain, the lecturer believes that after guidlines adopted in Britain, circumstances have turned better. She casts doubt on the main points made in the reading by providing three reasons.
First, according to the text, the increasing constructions in Britain has threatened the archaeological artifacts. However, the lecturer argues that regarding to the new rules, each costruction site, before begining the digging and constructing process, must examine by scientists. In that case, if any important fact is found, they would preserve the site for arcaeological procedures.
Secondly, although the reading discusses the insufficient amount of financial support for arcaeological projects, the lecturer states that based on the guidline, instead of government, construction companies are responsible for founds. Therefore, arcaeologists are not concerned about the financial maintainings anymore.
Finally, the text alleges that arcaeology jobs and paied projects are lessened in Britain, nevertheless, the lecturer suggests that many paid careers have been increased after the new rules, because before any construction, arcaeologists are needed to examin the site, do the scientific invetigations and preserve the available artifacts and it means that there are lots of job opportunities for arcaeologists.
