The reading and lecture are discussing the possibility of colonization to an asteroid. the reading supports the reason that is the best idea and the lecture claims the contrary that down site is not good practice.
First, the reading explains that asteroids are smaller and they have lower gravity making the landing safer than landing on the mars or moon. On another hand, the lecture argues that low gravity present risk and living there for a few months will cause serious problems on health such damage on muscle, bones etc.
Second, reading stays that an asteroid colony would be extremely profitable because of the raw materials such as gold and platinum. The lecture casts in doubt that is not such a profitable idea because there are a lot of costs and the price of these materials will not be the same in the future. Definitely is not such a profitable idea.
Finally, the reading support evidence that an asteroid is easy to reach and get closer to Earth than our moon. The lecture explains that orbits are unusually and making the return more and more dangers and very long. Also, it is more challenging than going to a planet like Mars.
