The lecture counters all the points made by reading a passage about the racism in the movie by giving an explanation to those specific points.

Firstly, The reading passage states that about Scarlett O Hara, the main actress, her family went for the American civil war to degrade the black people.. and criticize the movie. On the other hand, in the lecture, Professor explains the doubt created by reading a passage by saying that in movie it has been depicted that it was not good decision for the war.

The second point of criticism was about this movie doesn't provide the first name of Butterfly McQueen who plays the role of house servent(Pissy). However, in the lecture prof illustrates that although her first name was not given in the movie it was seen that her character was very strong and smart and it has been shown in the film that dignified character was loved by people and she got an academic award for this.
