Summarize the points made in the lecture you just heard, explaining how they cast doubt on the points made in the reading passage

The lecturer and the author of the passage offer two opposing views on the accuracy of the idea that conducting a project is better in a group than individually. The author of the article elaborating only on positive side of that idea, but the lecturer provides strong evidence from real research to attack each of the claims made in the reading.
Accordingly, to the text first reason why working in a team is the best way is that group members possess more skills than one person, although can use varied resources and perform the project faster than one individual. This directly contradicts what the lecturer indicates. The researchers explain that it was more time consuming for the members to find a common ground on the projects because people tend to suggest a variety of things to begin with. Additionally, some group members were not active participants, the lecturer called them free ride members; they were not working hard but got their recognition though.
The second passage claims that work of some individuals can be very rewarding because some members who had a bigger impact on the implementation of solutions for the project would feel better and could get a possibility to shine among other members. That is the opposite point of view of what was real result of the research. The lecturer addresses that some members of the group had leading position in making a decision or higher influence on the choosing important things or ideas, while others who tried to participate had to listen to the leaders. The professor also states the contradiction results that recognition of the job was assigned to the whole group not a few individuals.
The disadvantages from working in the group outweigh the advantages accordingly to the research results.
