First, the reading states that many claims that extinction of animals are disaster, but this is an exaggeration. The professor refutes this point by saying that it could be have too much effect on earth. He states that after dinasors dramatic changes happen and only lost even one species could alter situation enough.
Second, the article contends that with the advent of technology scientists no longer depends on nature for medication. The professor opposes this point by stating that nature play a powerful role in these days. He says that extinction of 100 species a day causes to lose opportunity for discovery.
Third, the reading claims that the huge cost of saving species is not justified. The professor refutes this by saying that 43% of a endangers species can save alotof money. He states that if we will save 10000 endangered species we can add 700 dollars to economy.
