Summerize the point made in the lecture. being sure to explain how they cast doubt on the specific point made in the reading passage
Recently, there has been a ton of debate as to self-driver. More specifically, in regards to the passages, the writer puts a compelling idea that self-driver ai safer and more efficient to the environment rather than common cars. In the listening passage, the lecturer is quick to point out there are some serious flaws in the writer’s claims. In fact, the professor believes that self-driver aren’t safer and when so much self-driver cars, they can be prejudicial to the environment.
First and foremost, the author of the reading states that self-driver are safe, saying that one company created a driverless car and it drives itself over 700000 miles and doesn’t crashed. Some professionals in the same field stand in firm opposition to this claim. In the listening for example, the lecturer states that they cannot be safe because humans program them, so, they will fail at the future, and he also mentioned the example of the writing, the car that one company programed, crashed with another car last mount, and the news was everywhere.
Secondly, the writing part mentioned that the self-driver cars were good for the environment, also said that they are more efficient, because they don’t stop and start so many times rather than common cars. The lecture instead, puts a compelling argument that, if the self-driver cars were allowed, the laws to someone have this cars would be so weak, that anybody with any age could have one, and, with this happening, more cars would be on the streets and consequently, more and more pollution each day.
And finally, the writing also mentioned that people would have more time when they have a self-driver, and gave the example that, a normal person, takes 30 minutes to go to the work, and with the driver less cars, they could use this short time, to read, work, or even watch some videos. The lecturer pointed out this idea, by saying that people work so much this times, and they also enjoy driving, because they think is relaxing.
