The article and the passage mainly discussed the protection of the endangered species Torreya. The article states that scientists provide three considerable solutions to protect those species. However, The professor explained that none of the reading climes are satisfactory and she opposes each of the author's opinions.
First, the article avers that reestablish in the same place is the better option because it has a microclimate. The professor explained that since global warming the environmental conditions in that area is becoming dry even though the weather is cold and it is not a suitable location for Torreya.
Second, the passage climes that migrate the tress into the complete new location far away from Florida to north cool weather for the better survival. The professor contended this point by saying black lotus as an example. She mentioned that when the black lotus migrates to the different location it developed as rapidly as it destroyed the other species of that location likely if we migrate those trees it gives the unpredictable outcome.
Third, the article posits that preserve in the research lab for better monitoring. The professor cast a doubt on this point by saying it is a not a good solution. He mentioned that if placed in the research center, it might not resistant to the diseases. On top of that, she mentioned it needs a large and genetic diversity but the labs do not have enough place to preserve a large number of plants.
