TPO-22 - Integrated Writing Task Ethanol fuel, made from plants such as corn and sugar cane, has been advocated by some people as an alternative to gasoline in the United States. However, many critics argue that ethanol is not a good replacement for gasol

The article and the lecture both are discussed about the replacement of the ethanol with gasoline. The reading states that ethanol is not a good alternative for patrol products and provide three reasons to support. However, the professor explained that the reading climes are not convincing because it is a good alternative.
First, the article states that ethanol could not prevent environmental problem because it also releases the carbon dioxide. The professor says that it does not any global warming because it releases from the plant products. He illustrated that most of the ethanol extracted from the plants like corn and the carbon dioxide is the source for their photosynthesis and no chance of global warming.
Second, the passage climes that increased ethanol production natively impact on plant growth and its impact on the animals for food. The professor contended this point by saying it does not diminish the food sources. He illustrated that the fuel is extracted from the cellulose part of the plant compound and it is not suitable for food so it does not impact.
Third, the reading posits that the price of the ethanol never competes with the gasoline, currently, the price is the same because it is subsiding by the government. The lecture cast a doubt on this point by saying it will be able to compete with other fuel products. He mentioned that when the production increases the price would go down and the experts suspecting that in future the would be three times lesser than the current price.
