tpo 24 Q1

In this set of materials, the reading states that the actual animal tissues provide more opportunity to deeply understand the structure of the animals. Meanwhile, the new discovery of a dinosaur brings this opportunity to broke the bone to study its structure. However, the lecturer believes that although we would like to know the reality, there are some skepticisms to this idea and gives some evidence to refute each of author's reasons.

First of all, it is mentioned in the passage that by breaking the fossilized leg bone, it was shown that there are some channels which may be related to the blood vessels. To argue with this statement, the lecturer says that soft material is not necessarily the blood vessels. He continues to explain that whenever a creature dies, the bacteria tend to exist nearby the empty spaces of the bones. Therefore, he states that these finding might be related to the residues left by the bacteria.

Furthermore, the author of the reading declares that the latest discoveries revealed the existence of spheres which may be the remains of the red blood cells. To extend the argument, the professor thinks that these fossils gather from different parts and it may not attribute to the red blood vessels. He thinks that it may be the residue of the minerals.

Finally, the passage claims that there are signs of collagen in the leg bones which proposed by the latest experiment of the researchers. On the contrary, the professor states that the collagen has never been found in any creature more than 1000 years. because this substance cannot remain a very long time. He also makes this uncertainty that the collagen, which is found recently, may be coming from the human resources, especially the skin of the researchers.
