tpo 4 endotherms

Recently, there has been a ton of debate about whether dinosaurs were endotherms. More specifically, in regard to the passage, the writer puts forth the idea that there is considerable evidence that dinosaurs were endotherms, not reptiles. On the other hand, in the listening, the professor is quick to point out there are some serious flaws in the writer's claims. In fact, the professor believes that all theories are not logical and do not prove that dinosaurs were endotherms, and addresses, in detail, the trouble with each point made in the reading text.
First and foremost, the writer of the reading states that dinosaur fossils have been discovered in polar regions and could survive the cold climates. Some professionals in the same field, however, stand in firm opposition to this claim. In the lecture, for example, the instructor refutes that the polar regions were warmer than today. Furthermore, he goes on to say that even in the cold months, the dinosaurs could migrate or hibernate like other animals. As a result, the professor shows the weakness of the writer's first point.
One group of scholars, represented by the author, think that the position of the legs underneath its body is related to endotherms, while the reptiles' legs are located at the body's side. Of course, though, not all experts in this field believe this is accurate. Again, the speaker specifically addresses this point when he explains the position of the dinosaurs' legs underneath their body in order to support their heavyweight, not for doing physical activity. Consequently, shows the inaccuracy of the author's second reason.
Finally, the writer wraps his argument by positing that dinosaurs had Haversian canals which are found in the bone of endotherms to allow them to grow quickly. Not surprisingly, the lecturer takes issue with this claim by contending that dinosaurs had growth rings which is the measure of the thickness of bone to indicate when the dinosaurs were growing, and it shows that dinosaurs stopped growing or slow-growing. These rings indicated that dinosaurs were growing rapidly in cold weather then stopping growing in the cold environment. Therefore, the professor shows the limitation of the writer's third theory because these fluctuations in growth are not characters of the endotherms.
