TPO 40: surface of the venus is not possible habitant for human
The reading claims that it would be impossible the presence of a human on Venus, for several rough conditions of this planet. However, the lecturer finds all of them dubious and asserts some evidence to refute all of them.
First, the reading explains that the pressure at Venus' surface is so high that is more than 90 times greater than the pressure at Earth. Therefore, when a spacecraft has been landed in Venus' surface because of the high pressure it will crush through one hour. On the contrary, the lecturer explains that this is not right and the force that pressing down on Venus's surface is equal of on the Earth. Thus, no crush will happen when the spacecraft is landing on the Venus' surface.
Second, the reading suggests that there are no reservoirs of water on Venus' surface. Moreover, its atmosphere consists of carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and sulfuric acid and it is impossible to supply water and oxygen from Earth. In contrast, the lecturer has completely rejected this idea and claims that it is possible to make water and oxygen and obtain it from the atmosphere.
Third, the reading takes the view that the little sunlight can reach the Venus' surface because of the clouds. The professor on the contrary claim that the cloud is not very thick and could reflect solar light.
