The reasding an the listening materials have a debate on an special type of animals (agnostides) that lived in ancient oceans. one side believe that they couldn't be lived while other side bring reasons to support his opposition. Indeed, the penman puts forward 3 main theories that are disapproved by the orator.
First of all, the writer suggest that agnostides were hunters as well as other types of arthropods were predators. The speaker views this issue from an opposite angle. According to her, the evidences that provided by fossils illustrates that agnostides weren't well developed type of animals which means that they didn't have strong ability to see around themselves.
The second point offered by the author is that, agnostides have setteled down on the floor of the ocean same as other kinds of initial arthropods. Conversely, the lecturer casts doubt on this assumption by saying that agnostides didn't have the ability to move fast to other areas. Consequently, it seems unsuitable for them because they couldn't scape from dangers around. In fact they needed to in long distances to live easier.
Third, The reading passage proposes that it is a suggestion about agnostides to be a member of parasites family, the reading indicades that there are a huge number of modern arthropods that exist as parasites. On the other hand, the professor holds a different prespective about parasites. He mentions that agnostides weren't a very large population so they couldn't kill organisms they lived on.
