Both the lecturer and the author discuss the capability of Pterosaurs to flying. Whereas the author posits that they were able to fly, the lecturer contradicts these claim and provides evidence to the contrary.

First, the author argues that Pterosaurs were probably cold-blooded as modern reptiles. For this reason, they had a low metabolism which stops them from doing energic activities such as flight. Conversely, the author brings up the idea that through to the scientist, these animals had hair or fur which claims that they covered and maintained extra temperature. Thus, these dinosaurs were warm-blooded, and could be fast and have enough energy to fly.

Furthermore, according to the reading passage, these ancient reptiles were gigantic. There is a limit to the weight that ables animals to be airborne and stay aloft. On the contrary, the professor underlines the fact that Pterosaurs' anatomy contained hollow and lightweight bones which made them lighter than assumptions. This feature kept them airborne and able to fly.

Finally, the author holds the view that animals like birds who can fly are also able to take off from the ground. Large pterosaurs did not have strong muscles in their legs to lunch for a jump or running to gain speed. The lecturer, on the other hand, strongly challenges this concept. She mentioned that dinosaurs are different from birds. They have four legs instead of two as well as bats. Hence, they can use all four limbs to push off the ground, and they had not any trouble to run fast or jump high enough.
