TPO-50 - Integrated Writing Task

The reading and the listening are both about the feasibility of launching a spacecraft to land on Mars. Whereas the penman of the reading states that it is not a possible mission, the orator suggests that with the recent developments in science it is completely possible. The lecturer cast doubt on the main points made in the reading by providing 3 theories.

First of all, the writer claims that long period of a space trip toward mars requires an updated ability in storage of food, water and oxygen. The speaker views this issue from an opposite angle. she says that astronauts on the spacecraft can use hydropanies to cultivate their food. Also, he/she mentions that there are available materials due to producing fresh air and water.

The second point offered by the author is that lack of gravity in space environment badly influence on the human body. Conversely, The lecturer believes that human has reached to a long-time record of living in the space recently. she argues that astronauts can save their health by regular exercise and eating mineral pills.

Finally, the reading passage states that high level of radiation from the sun is a hazardous part of the story which makes the aerospace fly impossible. On the other hand, the professor thinks that the sun radiations are occasionally and a shield would protect the spaceship. Moreover, she feels that by using shield for a special part of the space vehicle the danger on solar radiation reduces.
