using plastic bags is beneficial in many ways
In The author of the reading part and in the lecturer is discussed are discussing the idea of switching from using plastic bags to usage reusable bags. They both agree with this idea, because of huge environmental problems caused by using plastic bags.
In the reading part, the first advantage mentioned is the fact that the usage of reusable bags will reduce the number of plastic bags thrown in a garbage. That is because reusable bags can be used many times which will cause a decline in the waste of plastic bags. The lecturer agrees with this point and feels happy that in many countries, the grocery stores encourage their cuostoumers to bring their own reusable bags.
Furthermore, this shift will save a huge amount of money for the stores, because they do not have not to pay for plastic bags that much ? anymore?. About this reason the author and the lecturer agree that this change in the future can cause the price to decrease in the stores, because of the decline of their expeanses.
Another advantage of this kind of shift mentioned by the author is the petroleum saving petroleum . Since Thus, the plastic bags are made from petroleum and gases, this shift will decrease the waste of such limited resources. Moreover, the lecturer agrees with this reason and mentions that this step will save billions of barrels of petroleum and billions of dollars which are wasted to make plastic bags.
All in all, the author and the lecturer agree with the shift from using plastic bags to using reusable bags. That is why, this change will keep the environment clean and will prevent the waste of resources.
