Both reading passage and lectures explaining about four days work pros and cons. The reading passage holds the idea that working four days a week would be beneficial for both individual and company, even in society. However, lecturer is not agree with the statement. He further explained why he did not agree with reading passage by providing specific points.
First of all, the reading passage states that by scheduling four working days, company will save more money because salary will decrease by 80% also by hiring more labor, over-timing payment might be eliminated. In contrast, lecturer dismissed the statement that adding new workers will require more cost for their healthcare, office space and computer.
Secondly, by working less days, employees will work more efficient and feel more rested at work as well as there will be less error at work-space. Nevertheless, lecturer holds strike statement with passage. He says that for individuals, there will be more work pressure because company will expect same result as working in five days.
Lastly, as mentioned in reading passage, by working few days a week, individual will live more happy by spending more time with their family or spending more time for themselves. Regardless, lecturer declare that earning less money could lead economic crisis and might decrease their quality of live. Moreover, chance of improving career will decrease and even they might loose their job in economic depression.
In sum, from the begging to the end lecturer refuted the statement mentioned in reading passage by giving reasonable explanation and examples.
