zebra

Essay topics:

zebra

The reading passage and lecture have a conflicting opinion about whether or not the black and white vertical stripes of zebras are protection colour. The article strongly postulates that those verticals help them to escape readily from their natural enemies without much efforts such as lions and wolves. On the other hand, the listening adamantly delineates that those proofs don’t give any satisfactory explanation of it so those supporting points given by the author are irrelevant information.
First and foremost, according to the author of the excerpt, vertical strips cause optical illusions which are confusing the predators view in many possible ways also it means that bewildering the real distance between them so zebras can escape easily from their enemies. Nonetheless, the professor offsets these points by declaring that flesh-eating animals stalk to their prey in silence instead of doing a sudden jump.
On top of this, the professor in the listening elaborates by bringing up the point that biological researchers say that predators don’t trouble to pick out one zebra from a horde and target on it without any problem. These claims refute the writer’s implications which is about the protection colour help them to hide among the flock, especially in time of danger also it is complicated to distinguish an individual from their flock.
The text lastly insists that zebras usually graze in tall grasses area so they can mix with their surrounding environment smoothly. The speaker In the lecture counters these indications by asserting that in actually the environment can’t play a role to hide from the predators because zebras graze in open plain area and they haven’t any habit to cover so it isn’t possible to disguise from their natural enemies.
