Summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they differ from specific points made in the reading passage.
Both the reading and the listening discuss acute stress. The passage states that acute stress is a response of our body to stand or fight. However, the lecture differs from specific points made in the reading passage. The professor says that some researches have been done about the fight and one problem showed that 90% happened with the men.
The first point the professor makes is that there are some differences in responses in fighting with the women and men. She elaborates that the women tend to be friendly and the men act arguing and fighting. As an example she says that the women tell a joke and clean labs or make coffee. This differs with a point from the reading. The latter states that the human body gets adrenaline. This gives the force to fight.
Furthermore, the professor points out that the women attack the problem with no fight. She explains that some hormones from the women make them to avoid fighting. This point differs from the point in the passage. According to the article, the answer for the fight is shown as bad behavior. For example, a human when threatened will answer with force.
Finally, the lecture states that the women are less threatened and they call for help. As the speaker has it, the women look for advice and support from friends. This differs from the readings’ key point. According to the passage, the fight makes humans to get out from situations of stress.
