Dear Mr Dave,
I am writing this letter to apologize for my absence in a significant meeting held on last Friday. Honestly, the circumstances were not in my control which made me unable to attend this important business gathering.
Let me explain what happened at length. Actually, while coming to our workplace on that morning, I met with an accident. Although it was not serious accident, I was not able to get up and walk properly. I was admitted in the hospital by some people and after initial diagnosis I came to know that there was hairline fracture in my left leg. As a part of treatment, doctor had advised me to do complete bed rest and less movement to get back as soon as possible. So, this made me unable to come to office.
I totally understand the importance of this meeting and my presence as a team coordinator between company and client. However, I missed this vital business deal, I will coordinate with other colleagues who were present and try to understand agenda and way forwards to continue our business.
Once again, I sincerely regret missing this meeting and hope you will understand my situation.
