In the world today, people tend to read books less and turn to social media more for information. Why?
Nowadays, we are living in technology life. People create many things to help them have an easy life. They make work tools and increase labor force. They create the computer to help them type document, paint, manage and soon. Social media are one of the best things from human’s creation. It helps people connect with each other, entertain and find information. Therefore, today people usually use social media to find information instead of books. Today, I will tell some reasons for that.
To begin with, social media is a convenient tool. If you want to look for something, you just type some keywords and enter, it will help you find thousand or million results. It’s very quickly and easy. When you use books to find the information you must find what book have your information. After that, you must spend the time to look up information in that book. It’s not faster than social media. Sometimes it’s more difficult than to find something.
Secondly, Social media is very diverse. It can help people find many types of information like video, picture, news and more. Books cannot do that. The information you find in a book is just words or pictures. It’s boring. Maybe, it’s hard to understand with some people.
Finally, finding information by social media is cheaper than finding by books. You just need a smartphone or laptop which connect with the Internet and you can find many things that you want. When you finding something with books, sometimes you need more than one book. In this problem, you must use that book, but in a different problem, maybe you must use others book.
To sum up, social media is a convenient instrument. It’s cheap and easy to find more and more information. But I’m not in favor of using it very often. It’s can make your brain become lazy. Books maybe are not easy to understand or to find something, but it will offer more things when you read it. I hope we can use media in a reasonable way.
