What are some ways of reducing plastic for the greener environment?
We have used 3,9 million tons plastic in 2017. That’s about 41kg per person every year. Plastic is a big danger to our environment. It kills marine animals or makes them become deformation because of not plastic’s decomposition. So, we must decrease the amount of plastic we use to protect our ocean, our environment, and our life.
First, I think the Government should invest to scientist or student in University to develop a new material that good for our environment. We use it instead of plastic. Before finding new ones, we can use different material which can reuse or recycle. For example, we can use glass box instead of the plastic box. We can use a canvas bag instead of a plastic bag. Besides that, I think Government can use high tax with the plastic product. Encouraging produce environmentally friendly by decrease tax or use 0% tax in 5 or 10 years.
Second, to cut plastic I think supplier should stop offering a plastic bag for the customer. They can talk about a sale for customers who use their canvas bags. It’s will encourage consumers to use the environmentally friendly product. Moreover, businesses should replace plastic with different material with their product. Maybe it can make high cos but it helps that businesses have a good eye with their customers.
Last but not at least, each man can reduce plastic by himself. You can say no to plastic straw or plastic bottle, plastic glass in a coffee. You should bring an own glass bottle and don’t buy a plastic bottle. You can bring a glass box and canvas bag when you go out to buy something.
In conclusion, we have many ways to cut plastic. Maybe, we must spend more money to use friendly product than plastic. But we don’t need to spend more money to improve our environment, our health when we stop using plastic.
