The chart indicates the proportion of academic staff members of a university across seven different faculties based on gender in the year 2012.

Overall, it can be seen that there was a significant difference between the percentage of male and female staff in Engineering faculty. In addition, there were generally more male staff than female, with the exception of Arts and Education faculties.

As displayed in the chart, Engineering faculty had the biggest difference in terms of the proportions between men and women staff, with more than 80% of men worked there while the percentage for women were less than 20%. On the other hand, far more women worked in Education department than men, with around 40% in difference (78% of female staff and only 22% of male)

Furthermore, the highest figure of women staff was in the Education field with 78%, while the lowest was in Engineering faculty, with less than 20%, which was completely contrast to male figures. Last but not least, Medicine faculty had an equal balance of gender, with male and female staff proportions were distributed evenly at around 50%.
