The passage discusses several serious problems in Britain Archeology field that were no problem in the past. The professor, on the other hand, believes, because of the new guideline in the archeology field enrolled by the government, that Britain is now having a bright period in the field.

Firstly, the author points in the passage out losing many valuable artifacts to construction projects, because of building new constructions. However, the professor states that new rules, thanks to the guideline, requires for new buildings' area to archeologic examination beforehand. If the sites do have valuable artifacts, people who live in the city permit for construction.

Secondly, the passage expresses the government's minimal financial support for archaeological research. The professor, on the contrary, explains the financial support from construction companies. According to the new guideline, companies pay the preservation investment, and thus, interesting projects are provided by this investment.

Thirdly, the author complains about the number of available jobs for archeology career, and claims that archeologists ended up pursuing other careers. Despite the lecturer proves, with the guideline, plenty of jobs are available, such as investigation of a construction site before the company starts to build or preserving and doing research on the site and processing the outputs. Therefore, a bright era is happening in the field of Britain's archeology, she believes.
