TPO 24 integrated writing
The reading discusses that scientists by breaking the bone of the T.rex's leg found materials that seem to be the remnant of blood vessels. The author listed three factors to support this issue. However, the lecture finds all the reasons skeptical and presents some evidence to refute all of them.
First, the reading argues that small branching channels inside it showed the blood vessels of T.rex. On the contrary, the speaker casts doubt on this issue and asserts that they are more likely to be other things. For instance, the bacteria make hollows and it could be just a trace of the moist residue of bacteria colony.
Furthermore, the author proposes that their examination revealed spheres that remain of red blood cells that contain iron to transport oxygen to tissues. On the other hand, the speaker illustrated that fossils of soft animals do not have red blood cells. As a result, it might be the other reddish material. In conclusion, the speaker rebuts this idea.
Last but not least, the author points out that the collagen which is the part of living bone tissue is discovered within it. In contrast, the speaker describes that collagen never could last long. As a result, these fossils are related to seventy million years ago and the most likely expression for it could be it originated from other sources that have a lot of collagen, like skin, of researchers that work on them. Therefore, the speaker rejects this idea.
