The speaker believes that a national curriculum for all schools brings positive points. Admittedly, I hold the same position; however, some minute drawbacks can be mentioned. Totally, the idea of a national-level curriculum for all schools benefit most for education system and generally for the country.
Firstly, a national-level common curriculum guaranties for all parents, educators, school managers and ultimately university admission officers that all schools follow identical programs. This merit helps not only students to have a smooth relocation from one school to another, but assures educators also to move any school if they need. To support example, consider a supposed student from 3rd grade of elementary school want to continue studies in 4th grade but in another province. In case of not having a uniform education system plan, the student definitely will face problems in terms of subject contents and prerequisites which may not have thought before. The concern will likely occludes the student from having an enjoyable study in rest of it’s academic life.
For the educators also the analogous problem may preclude them from having a soft relocation to new school if the education system does not follow a uniform curriculum. An educator inevitably requires to change it’s workplace must be fully assured and confident about his experiences that can be fruitful for the new school. On the other hand, school managers also can have a complete trust on the new teacher as they know he has been fully qualified and experienced for a specific level in a supposed subject.
In fact, a uniform curriculum paves the way for having uniform credential system for educators. Also, a national-level curriculum provides justice for examination of students due to its uniformity for exam levels. If we neglect this simple point, the examination system would definitely be messed up. Students can argue that the level of their subjects in exams are far more difficult than what other same-aged students must practice. Thus, this declining a uniform system of education will violate justice.
