The given bar chart illustrates the proportion of Australian men and women among varied age group (from 15 years to more than 65 years) , who were regularly involved in physical activity in 2010.

Overall, In 2010, it can be clearly seen that females are physically active than male in all ages except 15-24 age group. Among women 55-64 age group is relatively active, while in male’s 15-24 age group is more active than other age groups. Least involved group is male’s of 35-44 age group.

Female’s show higher participation in activities compared to men, whereas exception was recorded in 15-24 age group where women are 5% less active than men. Female’s maximum involvement is seen in 55-64 group with 53% and minimum involvement documented in 65 and over with 47.1%.

Male’s are considerably less involved in physical activity except 15-24 age group where 52.8% participation was seen. In addition, 35-44 age group of men are the overall least involved group with only 39.5% participation. In 65 and above group both men and women have similar percentage (47%).
