The chart below shows the average hours spent per day in leisure and sports activities by youngest and oldest populations in the US in 2015.

The visuals reveal the breakdown of data upon the average amount of time spent on a daily basis in leisure and sports activities, the survey was conducted in America, in the year 2015.
Overall, it is noticeable that watching TV consumed the most amount of leisure time for both age groups. While sports, exercise and recreation activities attracted the smallest amount of time spent by elderly people, the average time allocated on relaxing and thinking was the lowest figure of all examined categories.
Watching TV was the most attractive leisure activity among people aged over 75, indicated by a sizable figure of approximately 4.5 hours per day, remarkably higher when comparing with that of the 15-19 age group, occupying 2.4 hours. Moreover, the average time dedicated by youngsters to play games and use computers far exceeded that spent by the elders, with respective figures being 1.2 and 0.5 hours. Furthermore, approximately 1 hour was spent on reading by the elderly people, nearly five times the figure of people in the range of 15-19, which was about 0.2 hours.
Another striking point is that socializing and communicating shared relatively comparable values, with figures evening out at around 0.5 hours. In addition, approximately 0.6 hours was allocated for sport, exercise and recreation by teenagers, nearly tripling the figure for the over 75 age group, which was about 0.2 hours. Noticeably, there was a narrow disparity between time spent by the young and by the elders on relaxing and thinking, which was 0.1 and 1 hours in that order.
