The line graph illustrates how many numbers of incidents and injuries per 100 million passenger miles which is called PMT travelled by transportation type in the year of 2002.

Overall, commuter rail and heavy rail did not have much incidents and injuries, compared to light rail and bus. However, demand response had the largest number in both incidents and injuries.

A glance to chart provided reveals that incidents stood at 300 per 100 million PMT, making it become the largest number throughout the survey. It was over 150 per 100 million PMT larger than that of the second largest from light rail and bus. Certainly, heavy rail and commuter rail was the smallest number of incidents.

On the other hand, the number of injuries in light rail did not same that of bus as the number of incidents in bus and light rail. Bus held second rank in the number of injuries, while light rail shared their position with heavy rail. Not surprisingly, commuter rail still had the smallest number of injuries.
