The provided bar graph compares information on households in two types of accommodation in England and Wales, measured in percentage, over an 83 years, from 1918 to 2011 years.
As an overall trend, it can be clearly seen that households in rented accommodation declined steadily, while owned accommodation increased progressively.
In 1918, the rented tendency was about 75% which was the highest trend, while owned demonstrated the lowest, at around 22%. Followed by, between 1939 and 1953, the former and the latter had a plateau just under 70% and over 30%, respectively. Subsequently, the rented accommodation continued to fall, whereas owned accommodation conveyed to rise, however, both data stagnated at half portion in 1971.
In contrast, after 10 years, they started to experience a converse trend, the rented accommodation dropped by 10% and the owned accommodation rose by 10%. During the next 20 years, both categories changed slightly, thus the first one reached the zenith, approximately at 70%, whilst another one showed the lowest percentage in comparison to periods. Although, at the end of period, the rented accommodation went up moderately about at 35%, but the owned accommodation was higher almost two times.
