The chart below shows total number of minutes (in billions) of telephone calls in three categories namely, local, national and international and mobile calls during a period of 7 years starting from 1995 in the UK.
The chart below compares total number of minutes (in billions) of telephone calls in local, national and international and mobile calls during a period of 7 years starting from 1995 in the UK.
The most minutes of telephone calls in every year was local calls while the lowest throughout this time was mobile calls. Also, it should be noted that the local call was almost constant during that span of time. Its experienced rises till 1999 and falls in the last 3 years.
The total number of minutes of national and international calls was increasing at steadily rate from 38 billion to 61 billion minutes respectively. The number of mobile call’s minutes were increased as a same pattern to national and international calls until 1999, where it showed rapid growth until 2002.
To sum up, in 1999 when the total number of local call ‘minutes declined, the mobile calls increased rapidly. In spite of all decreasing rate in local calls, still had popularity among clients.
