The chart below shows the total number of minutes (in billions) of telephone calls in the UK, divided into three categories, from 1995-2002.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart provided reveals the amount of time spent in minutes by UK residents on three different types of telephone calls between 1995 and 2002

It is evident that the local fixed line calls fluctuated markedly while the national and international fixed line and the mobile (all calls) rose during the given period, which narrowed considerably the gap between three categories.

The local fixed line calls were the highest throughout the period, rising considerably from 12 billion minutes in 1995 to a peak of just under 90 billion minutes in 1998, followed by a rapid decrease to the 1995 figure in 2002.

The national and international fixed line calls grew steadily from approximately 38 billion minutes to 61 billion minutes at the end of the provided period, though the last two years saw a slowed growth. There was s dramatic climb in the mobile calls from 2 to 46 billion millions minutes. This rise was particularly noticeable between 1999 and 2002, during this period, the use of mobile calls were merely tripled.
