The chart below shows the value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.

The bar chart delineates the export earnings of 5 categories: Petroleum products, Engineering goods, Gems and jewellery, Agricultural products in one country during 2015 and 2016. The table describes the percentage change in the value of the categories mentioned above from 2015 to 2016.

Overall, there is an increase in the percentage of exports in most of the categories, except for gems and jewellery. Although textiles account’s a lesser percentage of the overall exports compared to the other categories, it has the highest percentage change comparatively, indicating a significant rise in the exports in the textile industry.

Petroleum products continue to be the category to earn the highest approximately 62 billion dollars, a 3 per cent rise from the previous year, followed by engineering goods producing similar earnings, about 61 billion, with a slightly higher percentage increase of 8 per cent. The agricultural products haven’t changed much earning approx 31 billion dollars, a 0.81 per cent growth from the previous year. The textile industry reported 31 billion dollars earnings similar to agriculture but has the highest positive percentage change of 15 per cent. The only sector that seems to have gone down by 5.18 per cent is gems and jewellery, reporting earrings of 40 billion dollars.
