The charts below give information about attendance at entertainment venues and admission prices to those venues in 2009.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

This combination of a graph of attendance and a price list shows how the various entertainment venues performed, according to their prices, in 2009.

By looking at the first graph, we can clearly depict how the number of people who attended sportive events is significantly lower than cinemas' attendance. Admissions in theme parks, although they are higher than sports', present the same discrepancy.

This difference in numbers could be explained by looking at the price list of these venues, which comprehends different tickets solutions: single ticket or family ticket. The family option is not extremely cheaper than a single ticket, so it is assumable that this offer did not play an impactful role in the attendance of these venues.

Starting from sports, football games are the most expensive ones, therefore it is presumable to say that these were the most requested sportive events and did not get a high attendance, due to their high price. Basketball and cricket, despite being quite cheap, did not engage more people. Theme parks have only a slightly higher attendance, although they may be organised targeting a more vast public. This could have to do with their high ticket price. Cinemas, the less costly option, gained the biggest popularity, probably because of the ticket cost.

In conclusion, we can see that cinemas gained the higher attendance thanks to their low ticket cost, whereas sports events and theme parks had, on average, expensive tickets that prevented many people from attending them.
