The charts below give information about USA marriage and divorce rates between 1970 and 2000, and the material status of adults Americans in two of the years.

The first bar chart shown the number of Americans who get married and divorced through 1970 and 2000. The second bar chart illustrated marital status of adults in the USA at the first and the end of the period which means in 1970 and 2000.
As is observed, in the first diagram, the rates of both of getting married and divorced stayed relatively steady over the whole of period. In second graph, the percentage of marriage was the highest amount. While the divorce rate had the lowest amount in each year.

In first chart, in 1970 and 1980, the amount of marriage kept fix at 2.5 million. While, the tendency to be coupled slightly decreased to 2.25 and 2 million in 1990 and 2000 respectively. The marriage rate was approximately doubled of the divorce rate over the whole period of study. The trend toward getting divorce stayed at 1 million in each three years of 1970, 1990 and 2000. Meanwhile, it just reached to 1.5 million in 1980.
In second chart, the rates of married declined from 70 to 60 percent in 1970 and 2000, respectively. The percentage of being single increase but not very much from 15 to 20. Nevertheless, the percentage of being widowed or divorced kept under 10.
