Overall, the proportion of these nutrients, namely sodium, saturated fat and added sugar, is varying within different meals daily.

According to the figures, sodium and saturated fat undergo quite the same pattern in various meals, mostly found in dinner, by 43 and 37 percent respectively. Followed by lunch, which encompasses 29 percent sodium and 26 percent saturated fat. The third fat-rich meal is snacks by 21 percent and the fourth place belongs to breakfasts as the most fat-free meal, including only 16 percent of this nutrient. While snacks are also the third meal responsible for sodium, they stand at the same place with saturated fat by the share of 14 percent.

In contrast to dinner which is the least healthy meal in terms of sodium and fat, added sugar is mainly found in snacks, which accounts for 42 percent of this additive. The three other meals, dinner, lunch and breakfast, have proportions of 23, 19 and 16 respectively, as per sugar content.
