The tables illustrate the fair-trade commerce of coffee and bananas among five European countries in 1999 compare to 2004. The data measured in millions of euros.

Overall, it is evident that the number of selling coffee in all countries witnessed an increase. There were three countries (switzerland, the United Kingdom, and belgium) experienced a significant increase on the bananas selling. Meanwhile, the remaining countries saw a downward trend at the end of the period.

In the initial years, the higher number of the coffee selling was switzerland, accounted for 3 million, and then increased twofold in the following year. Denmark and the uk saw almost similar number at the beginning (1.5 and 1.8 millions), then the uk increase sharply (20 millions), while Denmark saw slightly increase in 2004. Regarding other countries, belgium and Sweden stood at 1 and 0.8 million each in the initial year and then saw a small increase in 2004.

Turning to bananas trading, in the first year, switzerland experienced the largest figure (15 million), after that raised to more than three times in the final year. Furthermore, the uk figure was almost twice higher than belgium (1 and 0.6 million each) in 1999, both nations then experienced an increased more than five times in 2004. On the other hand, Sweden and Denmark were two countries downward trend during the period. The selling stood at 1.8 and 2 million each in 1999, and then decreased just about a half in 2004.
