The given process diagrams provide the life cycle of salmon, which has three stages to become mature.
In the first level, adult salmon reproduce salmon eggs under the small stones in the upper river because the water is stable and slow moving. Approximately half a year, salmon eggs grow up into fries, which are 3-8 cm length. After that, fries move their habitants into lower river, where the water flows quickly than upper. Roughly 4 years, fries turn into smolts, and the size of smolts doubled fries, at about 12-15 cm long. Meanwhile, when the time smolts leave the lower river come, they will migrate to the ocean. It takes about 5 years for smolts to be matured, once they increase their size from 15 cm to above 70 cm length and turn into adult salmons, which is the final stage of salmons’ life cycle. Finally, the mature salmons swim back to the upper river in order to breed the salmon eggs. And it leads to the end of the process.
