The pie chart illustrates the percentage of the different kinds of transport used in Edmonton and the table gives information about people’s purposes for using the car. At first glance, it is evident that the most popular transport is car and many people use car to go to work.

It can be seen from the pie chart that there are 45 percent of people using car in Edmonton, whereas the number of people using Light Rail Transit (LRT) accounts for 35 percent. The least popular transports are bus and taxi, occupying at 10 percent for each transport.

There are five reasons why people living in Edmonton use cars. The main reason is commute to work, accounting for over 50 percent. The figures for business and taking children to school purpose occupy at 45 percent and 40 percent respectively. Using cars for shopping and leisure activities is the least popular, at only 15 percent for each activity.
