The bar chart shows four distinct category of places where the UK people used to surf the internet in the years 1998,2000,2002 and 2004. The chart categorizes the places as Home, work, college and library.
To begin with, the home category accounts for the maximum usage of internet since 1998. Initially, it began with 55% in 1998, with a sudden decline to 48% in the year 2000. Since 2002, it has a gradual increase in usage to 50% and levelling off to 55% by 2004.The usage in workplace began with almost 29% in 1998 and has been static until 2002. By 2004, there seems to be a sudden downhill of around 18% in the usage at workplace.
The usage has seen a marginal increase in the percentage from 20% to 25% in 2002, followed by a slight decrease in usage to only 19% in 2004. In library, the usage has almost been constant since 1998 and culminated at 19% in the year 2000.
