The graph illustrates the amount of fish and meat consumed by people in an European country in a 25-year period, from 1979 to 2004.

Overall, despite some fluctuations, chicken consumption increased over that time, while the opposite is true for beef, lamb and fish. It is obvious that chicken gradually replaced beef as the most favourite kind of food in the second half of the period.

In 1979, each person in this nation ate about over 200 grams of beef per week, compared to approximately 150 grams of chicken or lamb. The figure for fish was the lowest, with only 60 grams.

From that time to 2004, beef consumption dramatically fell for over 100 grams, while the figure for chicken showed a significant increase, peaking at 250 grams each person. The amount of lamb consumed also reduced to over 50 grams, and similarly, fish was less used in this nation, with its figure falling by about 15 grams per week.
