The graph below shows the number of new homes built in a particular region in the UK from 2010 and the figure predicted for 2020
The line graph illustrates how many accommodations were constructed in a specific area in the UK from 2010 and expected to 2020.
It seems evident that the number of apartments is more likely to increase significantly in the future. While the figures of the three remaining types of houses are expected to witness negative patterns until 2020.
In 2010, the highest quantity of homes in this region was detached houses, which represented for 2700. Despite some fluctuations, the number of detached houses stayed remain until 2018, before predicted to decrease to under 2500 homes by 2020. Meanwhile, Rising from 1800 to around 1900 in the first two years, the figure of Terraced house is expected to witness a gradual decline to 1500 until 2020.
There were some striking differences between the number of new homes between the semi-detached house and flat. Standing at exactly 1500 homes in 2010, the figure of the former is forecasted to fall to around 1000 homes by 2020. On the contrary, a dramatic elevation is expected in the number of the latter, from around 1300 to reach the highest peak at 3000 until 2020.
