The bar graphs illustrates the proportion of the people who bought three different categories of music albums based on gender and age in Britain. Overall, it is clear that men are more interested in music when compared to women. While pop and rock music were much popular among middle-aged people, older people preferred to buy classical music.
To begin, the number of men who purchased music albums was greater than that of women in all the three cases. The number of men who bought pop and rock musical albums was just over a quarter and this was almost 18% in case of women. However, total number of people interested in classical music was 3 times less when compared to other two categories among men and is 6% for women.
Moreover, from the graph, it is clear that people above 25 years of age and below 34 years enjoyed music to a large extent. Youngsters who bought pop and rock albums between 16 and 24 years of age was same accounting to 30% and this was almost 1% for classical music. Preference for pop and rock music was highest among people with 25 to 34 years of age and this craze gradually decreased with age. In contrast, around 20% of people who are above 45 years acquired classical music albums. All in all, both youngster and middle-aged people enjoy pop and rock music and classical music is mostly preferred by older people.
