The graph illustrates the amount of UK citizens who travel abroad and the figure for overseas residents visit UK between 1979 and 1999, while the bar chart depicts six separate countries that were traveled by UK tourists.

Overall, it can be clearly seen that there was a steep rise in the group of UK residents, whilst France was one of the most famous country where almost UK people choose to visit.

According to the line graph, from 1979 to 1984 the proportion of both overseas and uk travelers were increased slightly to 20 and 13 million respectively. Following this, after 1986 this figure rose significantly to 30 million in the group of uk residents and nearly 20 in the other. however, the graph witnessed a dramatic growth in the uk people while the amount of overseas citizens just grew slightly under 30 million.

In general, over 10 million uk people came to France while this proportion just nearly 3 million in Turkey. In addition, around 10 million uk citizens traveled Spain whilst it was higher than both Greece and USA.
